Showin Papaw some love

We thought that this week might be a rough one for Papaw - being that he has to walk his only daughter down the aisle and all - so we're sending him a big hug!  Good luck Papaw - oh and Nanny and Nunc too!

Marley and I decided that it was about time for Mackenzie to try on a proper princess hat!

At first she had a little trouble with the fit...

               but then she figured out that this whole princess thing is pretty fun!

Happy Valentine's Day

We hope that you all had a happy valentine's day and we send you all of our love!  Tre' is so lucky to have three valentine's - or is he?!

My how you've grown

Here is Marley with the brass baby elephant (or effalant) on her very first trip to the zoo and again on our most recent zoo trip. It's true what they say - they grow up too fast!

Sunday at the Zoo

Sunday was such a beautiful day that we decided to spend it at the zoo. This was the first time that Marley was old enough to really understand it all and get into the whole zoo experience, so needless to say a good time was had by all.

Here we are checking out the effalants, they go PRrrr!

Mackenzie just kicked back and enjoyed being out in the sunshine, she took this opportunity to have a stellar nap!

Marley's primary objective for this zoo trip was to take a picture with the giraffe - mission accomplished!

Happy Mardi Gras!

This was pretty much the extent of our Mardi Gras celebration - with it being so early this year it was mostly cold and often raining, not the ideal situation for a 6 week old, especially when you mix in various flying objects you can understand why we decided to sit this one out. We did however make it to Mardi Paws -the local puppy parade - and Old Gretna's Lundi Gras celebration pictured here. This is the outfit that Marley had on all day, well actually, pretty much all week - a princess indeed, and she was thrilled when we let her wear it out of the house! She was by far the fanciest girl there, as we didn't see anyone else in costume! Mars even treated papa to a few dances - after all he is her prince!

Say Cheese!

Mackenzie has the cutest little half smile that she likes to give as a teaser for the real thing. I think it's her way of trying to get us to make complete fools of ourselves just to get a big smile out of her - it works!

For those of you who have seen Tre' dance, this picture is as good as a dna test to prove his paternity to this child! Like father like daughter!
