Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Mardi Gras!

This was pretty much the extent of our Mardi Gras celebration - with it being so early this year it was mostly cold and often raining, not the ideal situation for a 6 week old, especially when you mix in various flying objects you can understand why we decided to sit this one out. We did however make it to Mardi Paws -the local puppy parade - and Old Gretna's Lundi Gras celebration pictured here. This is the outfit that Marley had on all day, well actually, pretty much all week - a princess indeed, and she was thrilled when we let her wear it out of the house! She was by far the fanciest girl there, as we didn't see anyone else in costume! Mars even treated papa to a few dances - after all he is her prince!
Say Cheese!
Mackenzie has the cutest little half smile that she likes to give as a teaser for the real thing. I think it's her way of trying to get us to make complete fools of ourselves just to get a big smile out of her - it works! For those of you who have seen Tre' dance, this picture is as good as a dna test to prove his paternity to this child! Like father like daughter!
Sisters!
Marley has really taken well to being a big sister, she is usually very sweet and loving with Kenzie. She even sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to her when she cries to help her go to sleep! That's not to say that there isn't the occasional - let's see what happens when I assault my baby sister with a plastic dolphin moment - but mostly Mars has been great with our newest addition. We hope that they will someday be the best of friends - with an occasional plastic sea life beating of course!
